The Spring 2023 shows have just served us inspiration for every day autumn 2022 outfits by way of a super easy outfit formula: relaxed fit jeans + tank top + flannel shirt worn open + ankle boots + slouchy handbag.

My styling tips to make sure this outfit is elevated and won’t make you feel scruffy: choose excellent quality fabrics for every piece. These are all classic pieces and will last you a long time so it’s worth investing in quality. Instead of a cotton tank top, choose a cosier and quality fabric for autumn like a rib knit cashmere. Choose a sharp boot to lift the look. Look after your clothes always to keep them in their best condition.

Starting to plan your autumn wardrobe? Here’s a few ideas. Relaxed tailoring. Sharp tailoring. Western style accents. Fabulous shoes. Statement knitwear. Statement coat. And don’t forget the versatility of wide-leg, high waisted, pleated-front trousers (you’d be surprised at how flattering they are, trust me). Get in touch if you’d like help in planning your wardrobe this autumn. Still some dates available. #suzannedelahuntystylist

Fashion month for next spring/summer is about to kick off. But before we look that far ahead, here’s a round up of what’s coming this autumn/winter 2022.

1. Outerwear is puffy and fluffy: it’s all about the bigger, cosier proportions.

2. Corsets: worn over shirts, dresses, with jeans. Get creative.

3. Denim: straight leg, wide leg, slouchy styles. High waisted or low slung.

4. Leather: leather makes a dramatic appearance as overalls, jumpsuits, dresses and shirts. Wear with tonal knitwear.

5. Embellishments: a lot of transparent fabrics were embellished for a textured take on evening and party looks.

6. Pink: choose the tone that suits you best- cool, warm, bright or soft.

7. Chocolate hues: luxurious neutrals.

8. Gloves: dramatic lengths to make a statement.

9. Shoes: exaggerated platforms. The higher the better!

“Fashion has to reflect who you are, what you feel at the moment, where you’re going.” -Pharrell Williams.
There's three truths in this quote.

1. What you wear should reflect who you are. It's an outward expression of who you are inside. And expressing that in an authentic way through your outfits choices is a very powerful way to feel comfortable in your own skin.

2. What you wear also has a direct impact on how you feel. Studies have proven this is absolutely true. When you dress in clothes that make you look good, you feel good. Dressing in a more polished way makes you more productive.

3. What you wear impacts how you are perceived by others. Dress for the job you want. The person you are becoming. If you feel it so will the people around you, and that's half the battle to achieving it.

What you wear absolutely makes a difference. #suzannedelahuntystylist
