Seventies suiting. You can amp it up with seventies print on the suit or shirt, but the silhouette is a mix of clean lines in the flare of the trousers and the slightly wider lapel, with the femininity of a ruffle or pussy-bow blouse. Keep the heel of your shoe a substantial one to balance the wider hem of the trousers. And keep your sunnies humongous. #suzannedelahuntystylist

As we’re all getting back to a kind of normal lifestyle again, I’ve noticed that a lot of people are so much more conscious about what they wear and how they spend their money on clothes.

It doesn’t make sense to spend a fortune on formal, “going out” clothes that you rarely wear.

Instead, it’s about investing in quality pieces that you wear every day. And finding financially more sustainable ways of getting those outfits you might need for special occasions - like vintage or renting.

And then re-purpose and re-style your formal pieces so you can wear them every day. They don’t have to stay hanging in your wardrobe un-worn.

DM me if you need my personal styling services to help you make your wardrobe work for you.

“Buy less, choose well” - Vivienne Westwood.

It’s a false economy to spend money on a lot of fast fashion. In most cases, cheap clothes don’t last long.

If you invest in beautifully made and well-fitting pieces that go with your other clothes and suit your shape and style, you will get so much more wear and look so much better.

“Fashion should be a form of escapism and not a form of imprisonment” - Alexander McQueen. Fashion can be a way of escaping the roles that you’re expected to fulfil and enable you to express (and be) yourself in an authentic way. The first step is knowing what your personal style is. Then build a wardrobe based on the key elements of your style. #suzannedelahuntystylist
